Information Sent Directly
Search terms
A name, location, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Macon County Busted Mugshots does not store or keep a log of those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and submissions
An email or contact message may be kept so a reply can be written and the exchange can be managed. Those messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or needed to protect rights and safety.
Technical Details Collected
Standard web-server and analytics tools may receive technical information when a page loads. The possible categories include:
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser type and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages visited and time spent on each
- The referring page, when one is supplied
- Access dates and timestamps
Cookies and similar tools
Cookies may help measure how visitors use the pages or keep a feature working. Browser settings can block or delete cookies. Some functions may behave differently when they are disabled.
How Information Is Used
Information may be used to operate and improve the service, understand which material helps visitors, and maintain basic security.
- Keep the pages available and responsive.
- Send search requests to the selected provider.
- Measure which pages are useful.
- Find errors, abuse, and technical faults.
- Display advertising that may reflect general interests.
Outside Links and Providers
These pages link to the Macon County Sheriff’s Office contact source, city police departments, Georgia courts, GDC, archives, federal locators, news outlets, and outside search tools. Each destination controls its own privacy practices, retention, security, and terms after a visitor follows the link. Review that provider’s notice before submitting information.
Advertising partners may use their own technologies to measure activity across different websites or tailor advertisements. That processing takes place on their systems, not under the control of the Macon County reference pages.
Who May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold by Macon County Busted Mugshots. It may be available to the following categories when needed to operate the pages or comply with a lawful demand:
- Search partners that process a submitted query
- Analytics and measurement providers
- Advertising networks
- Law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order
Security Practices
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used for information held by the service. No system connected to the internet is completely secure, however. The service cannot promise that a transmission or stored message will be immune from every unauthorized event.
Visitors Under 18
The pages are intended for adults. Macon County Busted Mugshots does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information, a parent or guardian may use the Contact Us page to ask that it be deleted.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on the data and the applicable law, a visitor may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal data held by the service
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Request deletion of information
- Object to or opt out of certain processing
Send a clear request through Contact Us. A request may need enough detail to identify the message or data involved. Requests sent to a government office or outside search provider must be directed to that organization.
Changes to This Notice
This notice may be revised as the service, providers, or legal requirements change. A revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means the new practices apply from that date forward.
